CDF-MT office opens

CDF Opens Office in Montana!

In July 2008, CDF announced the opening of an office in Montana to strengthen the voice of the state's children and families on issues that affect their well-being. With a significant number of children and families in Montana facing poverty, lack of health coverage, and inadequate child care, CDF saw an opportunity to have a positive presence in the state. Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute - Register Today!

The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry provides five days of spiritual renewal, continuing education, inter-generational movement-building workshops, and networking as Christians from across the denominational spectrum explore how their Christian faith calls them into ministries of child advocacy and guides, shapes, and sustains them in their work with and for children. Bridget to Benefits

Bridge to Benefits

Currently, thousands of Montana children and their families are skipping meals or going without needed medical care because they have marginal incomes and are unaware that they may be eligible for benefits that could bring them economic stability. To help solve this problem, CDF-MT, in partnership with Great Falls-based Rural Dynamics, Inc., has launched "Bridge to Benefits," a valuable outreach effort that will improve the economic situations for thousands of Montana children and their families and help stabilize the state's economy and work force.

The web-based project will help connect eligible working families across Montana with work support benefits, such as energy assistance, health care, child care assistance, food support, school meals and the Earned Income Tax Credit. Learn more.
