The Governor and the Legislature have an opportunity to address child poverty in California by making key investments in the 2017-18 budget.

Creating a new CalWORKs Baby Wellness and Family Support Home Visiting Program would help our most vulnerable families. The program would provide voluntary home visiting services to pregnant parents and parents with a child under age 3 in the CalWORKs program to help promote child health, strengthen parenting, and build family self-sufficiency.
